Company History

2009:

+ Hai An Transport and Stevedoring Company Limited was established under the license number 0102038916 (has changed enterprise code number: 0103818809) dated on May 8th, 2009, issued by Ha Noi Authority for Planning and Investment.

+  Charter capital: 150 billion VND.

+  May, 2009 construction of the first container berth and the CY started.

 
 

2010:

+ August, 2010 installation of the first quay crane.

+ Established subsidiary: In October 2010, Hai An Port Company Limited (HAP) was established under registration no: 0201126468, in Hai An district, Hai Phong City with 100% capital is owned by Hai An Transport and Stevedoring Co., Ltd.

+ After 20 months of construction with maximum efforts from member companies, HAIAN PORT was completed 1st phase. 

+ December 12th, 2010 “Opening Ceremony” of Hai An Container Terminal  and the First sailing of  Container vessel MV Mell Senang, capacity 700 TEU operated by Mariana Express Lines Pte Ltd called terminal.

+ Increasing the charter capital to 187.5 billion VND.

 

2011:

+ February, 2011 MV "ICE MOON" the Second sailing of MEL called at Hai An Terminal.

+ July, 2011 the First Yang Ming container vessel called at terminal.

+ August, 2011: Transimex Sai Gon Corporation and MACS Shipping Corporation became 02 new shareholders after bought 25% from other shares of Hai An Transportation and Stevedoring Co., Ltd.

+ In September 2011, it officially started to operate under the structure of a joint stock company and changed its name to Hai An Transport and Stevedoring Company Joint Stock Company.

+  2011 the First “K” Line container vessel called at terminal.      

2012:

+ On 01st March 2012, established subsidiaries: Hai An Agency and Logistics Company Limited (HAAL) under registration no: 0201244461.

+ In April 2012, acquiring Hai An Shipbuilding Joint Stock Company and charter capital increased up to 231.96 billion VND.

+ On 28th April 2012 the First container vessel of Pendulum Express Lines Pte Ltd called at Hai An Terminal.

+ On 14th August 2012, established another subsidiaries: HAS Offshore Service Joint Stock Company (HAS) under registration no: 0201275526.

2013:

+ In January, 2013 the First RCL (Regional Container Lines) container vessel called at terminal.

+ In April, 2013, Company has granted the ISO 9001 - 2008 Certificate.

+ On 04th July, 2013 the first biggest Container ship “YM INVENTIVE” with capacity 1,805 TEU called at terminal.

 + On 1st September, 2013 opening “Domestic Liner Container Services” – HDLINES with two weekly sailings between Hai Phong and Ho Chi Minh City. 

2014:

+ On January, 2014: A Reefer Ship with capacity 600 TEU of Lead-top Carrier called at terminal.

+ On April, 2014: The first vessel “OEL FREEDOM” of YML and OEL, with capacity 860 TEU called at terminal one a week.

+ On 19th March 2014: Signed agreement purchasing 1st vessel, which later called as HAIAN PARK.

+ On 08th May 2014: Received HAIAN PARK vessel from Shang Hai.

+ On 16th May 2014: HAIAN PARK vessel joined the first domestic sea freight. 

+ On 11th June 2014: Open “MV HAIAN PARK” Maiden Voyage Ceremony.

+ On 29th August 2014: State Security Commission of Viet Nam by document no: 4886/UBCK-QLPH has approved the Company to become a Public Company.

+ 22nd December, 2014: Established Ho Chi Minh Branch at no.217, Nguyen Van Thu Street, Da Kao Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam.

2015:

+ 21st January, 2015: Obtaining official accepted by Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange under Decision no. 15/QĐ-SGDHCM.

+ 11th March, 2015: Listing of 23.196.232 shares at Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange with code: HAH.

+ September, 2015: Invested the third container vessel named MV “HAIAN TIME” ex "Asian Gyro" capacity of 1,032 TEU, 18,055 DWT, max draft of 9.05 m, max speed of 21 knot, IMO no.: 9245158.

+ 05th October, 2015: Maiden voyage of MV “HAIAN TIME” Ho Chi Minh- Hai Phong service.

+ 13th November, 2015: Established subsidiaries, Hai An Container Transport Company Limited (HACT) under registration no: 0201655535.

2016:

+ 10th March, 2016: Hai An Transport and Stevedoring JSC organized “1st Anniversary of Trading HAH Shares on HOSE and Opening of Liner services to CAI MEP Port”.

+ 22nd May, 2016: Established Vung Tau Branch at Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.

+ 02nd June, 2016: Hai An Container Transport Co., Ltd has been obtained the “Interim Document of Compliance” from Viet Nam Register for Safe Operation of Ships and Pollutions Prevention with Company Indentification no: IMO Company 5917318.

2017:

+ 01st Jan, 2017: Officially became General Agent in Viet Nam for SM Line Corporation (Korea).

+ March, 2017: The First SM Line container vessel called Vietnam’s port.

+ May, 2017: Hai An Transport & Stevedoring JSC (HAH) continued to purchase the 4th container vessel named “HAIAN BELL”. This is the specialized container vessel built in Germany in 2003, class registered by GL, capacity of 1,200 TEU, gross tonnage of 16,584 DWT.

+ June, 2017: the Company continued to purchase the 5th container vessel named “HAIAN FAIR”. This is the biggest container vessel of Hai An Lines fleet with the capacity of 1,688 TEU.

 + 21st Sep, 2017: the Company signed Joint Venture Contract with Pantos Holding Inc. (Republic of Korea) to establish the first Joint Venture Company with Foreign Partner in Viet Nam: Pan Hai An Company Limited.
+ 20th Oct, 2017:  Pan Hai An Company Limited was officially established under Business registration certificate no: 0201815115.

+ 27th Dec, 2017: the Company established Hai An Freight Forwarding Joint Stock Company with Business registration certificate no. 0108111428.

2018:
+ 25th Jan, 2018: Pan Hai An Co., Ltd started started the contruction project of the Pantos-Hai An Logistics Centre at Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park - Hai Phong.
+ 18th Apr, 2018: the first sailing called Tien Sa port (Da Nang), marked expansion the Company’s transport services to the Central region.
+ Completed the capital contribution to invest in project of the Pan Hai An Logistics Centre, the construction of phase I was finished (the depot with area of 80,000 square meter) and put into the operation since Aug 2018.

+  Mar, 2018: the Company sold MV “HAIAN FAIR”.
+ Nov, 2018: the Company invested to successfully purchase and receive MV “HAIAN LINK”, built 2010 at Japan, capacity:1,060 TEU, deadweight: 15,204 tons.

 

2019:
+  May, 2019: purchased more vessel named “HAIAN MIND”.

+  5th Aug, 2019: the Company celebrated the 10th anniversary.

 

2020:
+  22nd Jul, 2020: purchased more vessel named “HAIAN VIEW”.

+ 15th Aug, 2020: the company donated 200 stainless steel water tanks to people affected by saline drought in 2 communes of Vinh Chau town, Soc Trang province, with the amount of 1.33 billion VND.

+ Jun, 2020: completed the procedures for receiving the Hai An Building at Dong Hai 2 Ward, Hai An District, Hai Phong City.

+ Jul, 2020: officially operated 02 CFS warehouse with total area of 20,000 m2 at Pan Hai An Logistics Centre, Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park.

+  At the end of Jul, 2020: Completed improvement Hai An terminal for receiving the vessel up to 25,800 DWT.

+  04th Nov, 2020: The company's leadership representative directly went to Quang Binh to donate the Central people affected by the historic flood with the amount of more than 1 billion VND and many practical materials for a number of schools, teachers and students in the hometown of General Vo Nguyen Giap.

+ 19th Dec, 2020: The company solemnly celebrated the 10th anniversary of Hai An Port Company Limited. At the ceremony, the Company awarded medals to all employees who have been with Hai An Port for 10 years.

2021:
+ Jan, 2021: The Company Union has launched a movement to build fences and pour a concrete grounds for teachers and students in the Northern Midlands and Moutains. The representative of the Company's Union Executive Committee directly went to Yen Bai province to give the donated money and participate in building school grounds for highland students and gave gifts to the families with extremely difficult circumstances.

+  09th Apr, 2021: The Company purchased new container ship named “HAIAN EAST”, increasing the fleet to 8 vessels. MV “HAIAN EAST” was built in 2008 in Germany, IMO no. 9363144, with 23,840 DWT, max speed at 19 knots/h. This vessel was operated on the Singapore-Bangladesh route.

+ 29th Apr, 2021: The Company continued to receive the 9th containership in Singapore named “HAIAN WEST”. This vessel was built in 2008 in China, IMO no. 9357860, with LOA: 175.47 meters, draught:10.9 meters, max speed: 20 knots/h. This vessel was operated on the domestic route.

 + May 2021: The Company purchased 20 ft 900 TEU container and 40 ft 1,000 TEU, with a total of 2,900 TEU, which greatly helped ensure high quality empty containers to clients at home and abroad.

  + June, 2021: The Company donated VND 2 billion to Hai Phong Labour Federation's “Anti-Covid 19 Vaccine Fund”.

 

2022:

+ February 2022: The Company purchased container vessel ANBIEN BAY. Former name: PUTNAM, IMO No: 9444950 built in 2008 in Japan. The ship is 171.99 m long, 27.6 m wide, draft: 10.7 m, tonnage: 25,800 DWT equivalent to capacity of 1,794 TEU, in which 1,054 TEU on deck and 740 TEU in cargo hold. There are 319 plugs on board. Max speed 20.1 knots per hour. After successfully received, the ship has been put into operation on the North-South route.

+ March 2022: Infra Asia transport route HAI PHONG – HONG KONG – NANSHA – HAI PHONG with a frequency of one voyage a week. Operating with vessel HAIAN BELL with a capacity of 1,200 TEU. It is the first time the ship of HAIAN LINES was put into operation in a Chinese port.

+ March 2022: Purchased another container vessel named HAIAN CITY. IMO No: 9445007, built in 2008 in Imabari, Ehime, Japan by ship owner Fresh South Shipping S.A. The ship has a capacity of 1,577 TEU, equivalent to 21,440 tons. Max length 171.99 m, width: 27.60 m, draft 9.52 m, max speed 19.7 knots per hour.

+ August 8, 2022: Honored by Forbes in the Top 50 Best Listed Companies in Viet Nam in 2022.

+ September 2022: Honored by Asian Forbes among the 200 best Listed Companies with a turnover of less than 1 billion dollars in Asia-Pacific.
+ 11 November 2022: The Company successfully received container vessel named HAIAN ROSE, No. IMO 9444962, built anew in 2008 in Imabari, Japan. The ship has total DWT of 21,916 tons, with a max capacity of 1,708 TEU. Max length 171.99 m, width: 27.60 m, waterline 9.517 m, max speed 19 knots per hour. After the reception of HAIAN ROSE, the number of vessels the Company possesses has increased to 11 with a total capacity of almost 16,000 TEU.

+ On December 25th 2022: HATS opened Hai Phong - Chan May (Thua Thien Hue province) - HCM container route  with 2 voyages per week. Hai An Lines has become the first domestic shipping line to operate container cargo at Chan May port.

 2023:

+ June 24, 2023 Long An International Port officially merged 7 wharves and opened its container handling service. On this occasion, Hai An Container Shipping Company brought 1,030 TEU vessel HAIAN TIME alongside the port and officially opened ít container exploitation service at Long An International Port.

+ At 15:08 July 23, 2023: The first newly built 1,800 TEU container ship was successfully launched. It is one of the 3 Bangkok Mark IV ships that Hai An Transport and Stevedoring Joint Stock Company ordered to be built by Huang-hai Shipyard - China.

+ August 17, 2023: Hai An Transport and Stevedoring Joint Stock Company (stock code: HAH) was honored by Forbes Vietnam among the Top 50 Best Listed Companies in Vietnam in 2023. This is the consecutive second year Hai An has been ranked in this list.

+ August 2023: Hai An was once again ranked by Forbes Asia among the Top 200 Best Enterprises with revenue under $ 1 billion in Asia in 2023. Hai An is the only Vietnamese company that has been ranked for the second consecutive time in this honorable list.
