HACT Officially Appointed as Meratus Line’s Agent in Vietnam

In the initial phase, HACT will focus on launching and developing Meratus’ trade lanes connecting Hai Phong – Da Nang – Ho Chi Minh City with Dili (Timor-Leste) and Papua New Guinea (Lae / Motukea) via transshipment ports in Jakarta (JKT) and Surabaya (SUB).

Founded in 1957, Meratus Line pioneered Indonesia’s dedicated container liner service in 1990. Today, as a leading integrated maritime and logistics operator in Southeast Asia, Meratus operates over 45 service routes and maintains a network of 40 agency offices. The company owns a fleet of 100 vessels, 3 container terminals, and 20 Container Logistic Centers and Warehouses, playing a vital role in the development of Indonesia’s logistics and supply chain ecosystem.

Hai An Container Transport Co., Ltd. (HACT), established in 2015, is tasked with managing and operating the most modern, youngest, and largest container fleet in Vietnam, while delivering end-to-end maritime transport and integrated logistics services. With a team of highly experienced and professional personnel and an extensive network of partners, HACT continues to expand its operations, enhance service quality, and strengthen Hai An’s position within both regional and international maritime supply chains.

The cooperation between these two leading national carriers marks a significant milestone in expanding their global agency networks and enhancing integrated logistics service capabilities for both parties.
