Hai An signed a contract to build two new 3,000 Teu container ships in China

Attending the signing ceremony were Mr. Vu Thanh Hai - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hai An Transport and Stevedoring Joint Stock Company, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuan - General Director of the Company, Mr. Tran Van Quyen - Director of Hai An Container Transport Co., Ltd. and leaders of related departments.

Present at the signing ceremony of 2 new ships building contract are the Board of Directors of Hai An.

According to the agreement, these two new built container ships are SDARI-3000 TEU type with the first ship to be delivered in December 2027 and the second ship in March 2028, and Hai An has the option to order the next two sister ships at the same price with the following basic specifications:
Capacity of about 3,006 TEU with Deadweight 36,800 metric tons, length over all: 185.90 meters, breadth moulded: 35.2 meters, height of main deck: 17.2 meters, scantling draft: 11 meters, 400 reefer plugs, main engine: MAN B&W 6G60ME-10.5 HPSCR - Tier III, speed:19 knots at CSR 90% - 13.392kW – 96.5rpm, equipped with Alternative Maritime Power system (AMP), scrubber fitted and designed to be ready for future conversion to Methanol fuel (Methanol ready).

Hai An's continued investment in new built large containers not only improves the company's transport capacity but also creates more opportunities for the Company to cooperate with partners who are large and prestigious shipping lines in the world. This is also a step in line with the global trend of using high-performance and environmentally friendly vessels, aiming to expand the Company's services to the Mediterranean - Europe and/or the West Coast of the United States in the coming years to directly provide container transportation services to importers and exporters in Vietnam.
