MSC appoints new chief of container terminal division

MEDITERRANEAN Shipping Co has appointed Ammar Kanaan as the new chief executive of its container terminal division.
Mr Kanaan will take over as head of Terminal Investments Ltd on April 9 following the retirement of Vikram Sharma after nine years in the post.
Mr Kanaan is the founder and chairman of terminal operator and service provider International Port Management.
He has over 30 years’ experience in the transport and port sectors, MSC said in a statement. He also led the development and operations of MSC’s joint venture terminal at King Abdullah Port in Saudi Arabia.
