South Korea container lines launch joint service

TWO South Korean container lines will on Friday launch a new South Korea-Japan-China service.
The service will provide three 1,000 vessels, one from Korea Maritime Transport and two from Namsung Shipping.
Port rotation will be Busan, Shimizu, Onahama, Sendai, Tomakomai, Muroran, Sakata, Busan, Ulsan, Gwangyang, Shanghai and Ningbo.
The two shipping companies are members of South Korea’s national shipping consortium launched August 2017.
The consortium share cargo capacity, rationalise trade routes, jointly form and operate new routes, and share overseas terminals.
Members include Hyundai Merchant Marine, CK Line, Dongjin Shipping, Don Woo Shipping, Dong Young Shipping, Hansung Line, Heung-A Shipping, KMTC, Namsung Shipping, Pan Continental Shipping, Pan Ocean, Sinokor Merchant Marine, SM Line and Tai Young Shipping.
